When potential clients contact us or subscribe to our newsletter, we necessarily have access to their contact information to allow us to contact them back.

Personal information we are given is stored digitally across e-mails, a subscriber database, on our website (where clients have provided a public domain testimonial).

The info we keep is strictly relevant and not excessive for the purpose of being able to marketing and is kept legitimately for as long as the client requires our support and/or where the law requires us to keep records.

Subscribers are always be presented with the opportunity to unsubscribe and we respect the privacy of your information.

We will never share, sell or pass on your information to any 3rd party not directly linked with our management and marketing. Rest assured, our privacy policy, technical (password, backups, encryption, physical security) and procedural measures and business ethics ensure the protection of your valuable information.

We take steps to prevent unlawful access to, loss of, damage to or unauthorised destruction thereof via appropriate safeguards against those risks, including cyber-attacks.

The processes around the storage and duration of storage of private information is solely dictated by what we need to be able to provide the support for as long as the data owner requires our support.

Further to our Privacy Policy, Bronwen Schalkwyk is the registered Information Officer for Bronwen Schalkwyk Art. She is responsible for compliance, working with the Regulator, establishing procedures, and training team members in compliance.

Our incident response plan is to report any actual or suspected security breaches ASAP to both the Information Regulator and the data subject/s involved. Where third parties ("operators") hold or process any personal information, they should act only with our authority, treat info as confidential, and use security measures.

We observe strict guidelines w.r.t. ethical marketing and subscribers at all times have the ability to opt out.

All previous and current suppliers, employees and clients have the right to participate in their data and can request from the Information Officer that their info be updated, deleted, destroyed, or to raise complaints if needed.

Only the info officer currently has access to private information. Where relevant, staff members will be trained accordingly.

As a small business employing less than 50 persons, does not exceed turnover threshold defined for the industry, and is run by a sole proprietor, Bronwen Schalkwyk Art is exempt from having a s51 PAIA Manual.
